August 2017
Wetness still rules the days around here despite hopeful
mornings such as that shown above with the sun directly
behind Maumaupaki the mountain(?) that dominates the
sky to the East. The furthest North it got was just to
left of that blob of white cloud on the ridge line and now
the race is on for domination somewhere off the page to
the right of the picture. It is a good time for moss as
the following photo well shows replete with daffodils
beaten to the ground in the wetness of despair...... well
that might be overstating it just a bit but you have
admit the moss fair gleams with its lime-ish of green,
the flowering cherry above still gaunt and showing little
of the show to come.
Climb to Summer with Luck
Rays of Hope maybe?
The Kauri Pond garden has some new additions, including
moss, to add to the ambience, so I will let the image do
the talking in this next early morning photo taken not
long after a passing shower.
...... and then there is the other creation that has had a
makeover, old age dealt to the previous so now there is
a new support structure, but as to what it is.........??
