November 2017 - Part two
To start lets just deal with the new, sort of old hat new
really in that another sculpture has arrived in the Fence
Post Gallery, a curious little number that evokes
travelling the seas on mythical ships to places
unknown...........
Climb to Summer with Luck
New developments in the persona of the gardens up
near the Labyrinth, an opening of vistas. This takes
advantage of combinations of exotic and native trees
on the property and beyond, the Sculpture Park just
got visually bigger. Heather had a big pine tree
felled, four vertical trunks and a serious lean in just
the wrong way, it had to come down in some sort of
controlled way and it mostly did. This lead to endless
chainsawing into firewood rounds and subsequent
heavy labour, some of which you can see in the header
photo. Coincident with this was the starting of a new
energy / sculptural creation and Heather nominated
the substantial stump as the mounting point. A
suitable base was made as you see below. The
pyramid behind has been declared an Eco Sculpture
and cannot be touched...................... that’s over 2
meters high and won’t be split for firewood, somehow
we have all been pleased with that.
