February 2018 Just a shorter post this time and a few images of the tranquil in a season of flowering. A new Dragon now resides in the Dragons Den Gallery, it’s a Seed Dragon or so it feels.  Seeding possibilities of change and growth as it weaves it’s way across expanses of potential through furrowed waves of what might be.  This is not a beast of the older time but very much a new expression.  It’s presence now leaves but one space for the initial presentation of dragonish beasts within the Dragons Den. Talking of storms, dragon storms even, recent events that wrecked the Thames Coast Road were little felt here, a bit of a blow in the tree tops and some rain, so little compared to the sight just down the road on the coast, now that was a surprise to behold.  The dragon had indeed flexed it’s tail out there in the Firth and flushed the coast with wash and wet, maybe it will mean something new for the area and certainly not an easy fix. The years start has been a continuing wet in various forms and so much is growing and green, a lot of green, and then you get a splash of colour as this Nikau Palm displays with it’s skeletal older stems, pastel pink of new flowered stems fuzzed with bees attending close, and then there is the starker red of the riper berries to attrct the birds.  Like the Seed Dragon they seed possibilities and in time the creation of a Nikau forest spearing to the sky with their wonderful electric forms may well result. Then a final note of colour below to finish with a stronger statement with a hint or two of the delicate. As always click the images for a bigger view.
